Information we collect

You do not need an account to read the site. We collect limited technical information automatically — IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited and referring site — and any information you choose to send us, such as an email enquiry or a newsletter sign-up.

How we use it

To deliver and secure the website (our legitimate interest), to understand which coverage is useful where you have consented to analytics, to respond to enquiries, and — where advertising is introduced and you have consented — to measure advertising performance.

United Pulse is currently free of third-party advertising. We intend to fund the site with advertising in future, which may include Google AdSense and other third-party advertising providers and ad networks. This section is published in advance so you know what to expect.

When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve adverts based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve adverts to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

In the UK and EEA, personalised advertising will only be used if you consent to advertising cookies. If you decline, any adverts shown will be non-personalised; non-personalised adverts still use limited information such as general location and page content, and may use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Sharing and international transfers
